The Quality Assured Programme (QAP) of ‘Rider Training Industry Competence’ is the training sector’s only fully bespoke programme for DVSA Approved Training Bodies (ATBs). It usually takes around 12 months to complete and is equivalent to a Level 3, i.e. A level standard.

Recognised business management programme

Rider Training Industry Competence is an ATB business management course that has been designed to underpin and develop the knowledge and business skills of ATB owners.

The course syllabus focuses on the management of an ATB business, with the latest thinking on industry related issues, best practice, and access to a comprehensive library of ATB business and training related information.

The four main modules of Rider Training Industry Competence are:

  1. Customer Service: How to provide professional customer service
  2. Managing Teams: How to manage the performance of teams
  3. Business Administration: How to manage and administer small businesses
  4. Information Technology: Getting IT systems correctly set-up and working
